    It’s a Ricky Gervais joke, I’ll admit!

    It’s the classic …
It’s the classic case of do as I say, not as I do.

I imagine that a Christian,or Jew, who would defend this behavior of God, may do so by referencing my favorite Planet of the Apes Quote: “if a King forbids his subjects to wear a crown, it doesn’t mean he can’t wear one himself.”

And I agree; if Yahweh is real,he does have that right, but it does seem quite hypocritical of this God to be considered perfect in goodness, while at the same time deeming us to be sinners for imitating his ways.

    I’ll never forget …
I’ll never forget this church I was in for a funeral when I was young.

There was a playroom for the kids. At child’s-eye level were signs everywhere. They said:

    TITHING IS FUN

Now that’s getting to them young.

    Brilliant and …
Brilliant and tactful, a person has to be totally absent minded or have some kind of mental disconnect to even not stop and think of the simple logical common sense you presented.
The hypocrite Ted Haggard in character…oh how i wish he watches this video!!! LMAO!!!

    Kudos!!!

    I think giving …
I think giving tithes is pantamount to aiding in tax fraud, though most of the time unintentionally.

    You must not know …
You must not know much about the bible to say NOTHING in it is correct. You say that for an atheist to quote scripture is retarded. So, only christians can quote the bible, quoting the same scriptures that explain hypocrisy, contradictions, inconsistencies, mistranslations, ancient explanations of nature, etc.

    People shouldn’t …
People shouldn’t give tithes (10% of earnings can be a lot, a small offering should be good enough) to a tax-exempt business such as a church where there are preachers that have nice homes and cars.

    No one is saying …
No one is saying that atheists can’t be moral. I used to be an athiest and was quite moral. However, as an atheist who does not believe in absolutes, I could not justify my morality. No one is saying atheists can’t be moral they are saying they can’t justify their morality.

    Hows this for a …
Hows this for a general statement…Atheists are unable to acutally read the Bible without hate. When an atheist tell me “oh, I read the Bible” and then demonstrate their total lack of understanding of ANYTHING Biblical then you just expose yourself as the typical atheist who “reads” the Bible with a heart full of hate, which is worth nothing. I know where you are comming from, I used to use the same argument you do. I dare you to read the Bible while WANTING to understand. It’s quite different.

    You say “Xtians use …
You say “Xtians use the word “morality” to indicate that they are better than everyone else. True or not, it is what they believe.” Really? This is what they belive. A tru Christian KNOWS that he is as much of a sinner as anyone else….you sir have no clue what you are talking about. You like to make general statements claiming to know what ALL Christians mean when they say morality? Here is a GENERAL statement about atheists such as yourself. You said you read the Bible right? …continued

    Atheists insist on …
Atheists insist on bringing God down to our level and say “well, if it is wrong for us created beings to take life we did not create then it is also wrong for the Creator who did create life and who has sovergeignty over it to do the same and take life from someone”. Atheists INSIST on seeing this as the same thing. “Why can’t we be jealous but God can be jealous?” Maybe because HE is the ONLY one in the universe that has justifiable reason to be jealous…ever thought of that?
