No, it's biggest competitors are apathy and disinterest.

Please. Don't flatter yourself. Atheism isn't anywhere close to being a "competitor" of christianity.

I wasn't aware it was a competition.
Presumably our corporation has cornered a monopoly on the market for Truth?

Competitor? Lol, that fits, seeing as how both are run like businesses. Yes, Islam is the worlds second biggest religion, followed by Hinduism.

About the only competitor, sure.
Islam is still on the rise in some areas. Even Europe, I believe. But, that's mainly due to them out-breeding other groups. Or so I've read.

Well, as Hinduism and Buddhism are only appearing as philosophies in the West, and Judaism is not going anywhere fast, I'd say so.

Religion isn't a completition, but Islam is the next biggest. Atheism isn't even close, and (in terms of population) it is mostly centered in (former, or current) communist areas such as China, Korea, and Vietnam where Christianity was never big to begin with.

islam is the fastest growing religion in generally in the world and particularly in the west with a growing ratio of 235% annualy, because christianity does not teach the teaching of jesus(peace be upon him) but the teaching of the council of nicea met and compiled bible in 325A.D,and they kept the gospels of barnabas ,peter and so many more, which have now been discovered, from bible, because they mentioned that jesus was a human and not God and gospel of barnabas also mentions that another prophet will come after jesus to complete the religion.peter gospel tells that jesus was not crusified,so confirming the statement of Quran.so islam will grow more if the christians start their research with an open mind as they are doing today and as a result they are accepting islam.

Numbers hardly matter. What matters is how eager are we to know truth and how liberal are we to accept truth. All religions have their concepts and many a times they clash with one another though there are similarities also.So how many of us have read about other concepts and religions (atleast Christainity and Islam) to understand themselves what is truth. It is unscientific and ignorance to call something truth just because many people follow it.We got to debate it first with ourselves and then with others so that we reach what is reality.
