Jane Goodall is my favorite. We recently went to see her talk and afterwards, she sat for 3 hours signing autographs (she's 70ish?). She does this 350 days a year, trying to raise environmental awareness and promoting peace.References :

It would probably be Mark Twain. The man was just incredible. I also really like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens.
My least favorite would probably be someone like Stalin.References :

My least favorite would be all the self-righteous atheists that think they are enlightening us by naming famous talented atheists.References :

George Bernard Shaw is another favorite.
O'Hair was so obnoxious, she makes Hitchens seem like a Buddhist monk.
Once again, Josef Stalin was Russian Orthodox with a bit of a god complex. He was not an atheist.References :
