Nonbelief & Peek-A-Boo…

…Why the existence of people like me directly contradicts the existence of the Christian God. I exist, so God must not!
(In my opinion, this is one of the strongest arguments against the Christian God, even more so than the problem of evil.)

No, your analogy is …
No, your analogy is not applicable, because if you dont find out what to do in a videogame nothing bad will happen to you.If the videogame designer of the game knew you would die if you dont figure out what to do,if he was a good person,he would tell you exactly what to do,if he was a bad person,he would let you on your own,and thats the issue.Either is evil, or he doesnt exist. Its not a matter of boring or exciting.Wheres the excitement in going to for eternity if you can’t figure it out?

THEORETICAL …
THEORETICAL BULLSHIT how the do you play video games??? Do you turn on your XBOX and sit there thinking “Why isn’t there a voice or arrows with clear directions on what to do?” If God were to do this with life what would be the point?? While I’m sure there are holes to poke in the video game example my only point is that video games would be boring if everything was laid out for you, but every game starts you off with enough clues to figure it out . You still have the option to sit there

Lmao man you know …
Lmao man you know how to put people to their place with logical thinking, it kills !
The bible did learn us a lot of virtues that make the society we are now but. Is those virtues still contextually applicable ? Didn’t our society change since back then ?
Writings won’t change, even after 2000 years. There is new bible versions true, but who dares to claim himself “godly” enough to CHANGE and KNOW the real interpretation of god ? There’s someone behind this. This is where the real issue is.

If there is a god, …
If there is a god, I have always wondered if he was the one who made every religion not just christianity just to with us…..
Just something I have always wondered.

Christians and the …
Christians and the like who believe that is a real place DO need to explain their god….if is here or symbolic of seperation from god than no explaining is necessary….or is it?

the idea seems to be that even tho we live in a fallen/evil world that we still worship god or give god credit…see Job. I dunno why either.

maybe we don’t know X because we haven’t discovered it yet??? Maybe.

Truly, to be saved …
Truly, to be saved according to Christianity ACCURATELY….you must simply believe that Jesus died for your sins…period. However, your points about other cultures/relgions or those that never hear the gospel…you are correct. However, as I said…supposedly, we all have the gospel in us…what if that’s true?

It was the OT God …
It was the OT God that wanted reckognition. With Jesus we are told to simply believe in him…which still is a contradiction. Many think that the OT God was NOT Jesus…truly, I see why. Point is, if Christians are to conclude the moral of thee story…why do they usually conclude it with laws/judgments/black and white thinking (all considered bad by NT standards) over the loving/merciful Jesus who CONCLUDED SIN by dying FOR US….not that I believe all that but why don’t THEY????

what if, regardless …
what if, regardless of the seemingly blind religions, there IS still a truth that we are to ALL come by that…maybe….will end all the suffering. We are, as it says, to agree as one…even tho the Tower of Babel was a bad idea….maybe cuz it was too early and not about a building but a concept?
By julzabro on Nov 29, 2008 | Reply
according to the …
according to the Bible….we ALL have the truth written on our hearts. We all KNOW God but have either fallen asleep, forgotten or sinned to the point of being in (which many describe as merely seperation from God) This falling…falling asleep or forgetting where we came from (as the angels FORGOT their proper abode) is rampant in the text.

Jesus said (in my …
Jesus said (in my own paraphrase) …if the homeowner knew when his house was to be broken into, he would protect it…therefore, the house would never be robbed AS IF this theft is MEANT to happen. Cain, the murderer, was sealed/protected why? Satan was created and ALLOWED to tempt, torture have his own reign, why? A tree with deadly fruit was created and placed in our playpen why?

Is it odd that we …
Is it odd that we are the only beings (that we know of) capable of asking “why we’re here” or “where we came from” yet a creator who MUST HAVE created us does not allow us to have the answer? why did he create us to be able to question if not to give the answer? and IF this was the only way for life to exist….how good is it with all the suffering and evil etc etc?

what if much of the …
what if much of the bible…or all of it….IS more symbolic or metaphorical than literal as most religions would have it? It’s obvious to most atheists and angnostics that most religious folks never even study their own texts enough to even consider a deeper meaning and that becuz of that they have and are seriously missing the point.
By julzabro on Nov 29, 2008 | Reply
So what if atheists …
So what if atheists objectively conclude that religions are wrong but WHAT IF there is STILL a truth to be discovered? what if said truth IS hidden within certain or all religious concept? Many universalists n the like do not feel that heaven and are real places but that they are symbolic as with many other things in the bible.

Obviously, the god …
Obviously, the god of Abe, set up a system that, for some reason, HAD to include evil. Some would say….you can’t have light without darkness or love without hate. what if that’s true? problem is in the Garden and, supposedly, in heaven there is no evil/hate…thus, showing that god CAN create light withOUT dark.

one of the first/ …
one of the first/biggest contradictions is, as u mentioned, angels who we are to understand were created as perfect beings for no other purpose but to worship god…so how is it that they fell? how is it that Satan became jealous or envious if he was MEANT to be perfect?
