   Atheism is a lack of belief in any and all gods, including God from the Bible.

   The thing that always makes me giggle is that those fundamentalist Christians who hate atheists are atheists themselves. They don't believe in Thor, or Freya, or Horus, right?

   No it's more than that. Atheist's do not believe man has a soul or is a spiritual being but only a physical one. An atheist will not look at accounts by their fellow man if they have say an out of the body experience or if someone sees a miracle or if someone says they believe in God or has seen angel or demon or other entity.

   In short an atheist is a lot less open minded than you can imagine.

    I've even seen atheists who have a misconception of what it is. I've heard people say, "atheists don't believe in god or the supernatural" or "Atheists don't have a religion" and while that may be true of most atheists it is misleading.

    You can be an atheist and believe in the supernatural.
    You can be an atheist and have some religious beliefs.

    someone who disbelieves the nonexistence of unprovable and unknowable based on the lack of belief such disbelief is in itself senseless, as universal negatives are unprovable by definition…
