I disagree with you, on the basis that it doesn’t cover everything, and if you are looking for more accurate, then you need to be more accurate in your definition of Atheist, and not just appeal to that of the Religions that deal with God(s)

I may be wrong, but this is how I would define it:

ATHEIST(n): one without a belief or faith, or one who lacks a belief or faith in god(s), the supernatural, or spirtual realm.

You video on Secular Humanism helped me with that definition. Cool video

The argument I am addressing is the argument in your video.

You claim the wordnet (at el) definition is “epically wrong” when the wiki article clearly shows that is exactly the definition that has been used in Greek for 2500 years and in English for 1000 years. Your clumsy attempt at lexicography fails because atheist was imported into English before (your alleged root word) theist/theism using the wordnet definition and the Greeks were already using it that way for 1000 years.

Haha, well, it makes sense though. Christian’s believe in two major deities, namely Yahweh and Satan. So every god of any other religion can be attributed to one side or the other.

So in every way, these people would not be atheists.
